Installing the C6711

1) Install the cable from the printer port to the C6711 board.

2) Install the cable from the external input (optional).

3) Install the cable to the external output.

4) Configure the BIOS so that the printer port is ECP or EPP

4.1) Restart the machine
4.2) Press the F10 key when the red COMPAQ logo is displayed
4.3) Make the required changes
4.4) Press F10 again to save the changes and restart the machine
4.5) Once the machine has restarted, the changes should be active

5) Install code composer studio and associated product updates.

6) right click the My Computer Icon and select Properties

• go to Device Manager --> Ports
• select ECP Printer Port (LPT)
• click on Properties tab --> Resources
• Look at the start address of the Input/Output Range
• Write down port type (ECP or EPP) and the start address in the Setting column (usually 0378 or 0278) and drop the leading zero.

7) Click on the Setup CCS icon and provide the import configuration of port type and start address.
