two problems to think about 1) slaving two clocks that can talk to each other use two radio clocks to measure the speed of light. use two radio clocks to measure the distance between themselves. use two radio clocks to measure the altitude of propagation. use two radio clocks to measure the time delay between themselves. use subsequent transmissions to refine estimates and most importantly measure variation. consider how you would do this with and without GPS, with and without a line clock, with and without a logic crystal oscillator. how well could you measure using a line clock? how well could you measure using two crystals, one in each clock? how well could you measure using WWV in each clock? how well could you measure using GPS? 2) signal format for time-stamping RF 3) take a z-buffer approach to digitizing RF. just digitize it, store it, and play it back for processing. do this in real time.
