Introduction:
The frame was separated into three beam problems, the chain stay, the seat
stay and top tube problems. The loads through the pedals are expressed
as bending moments in the rear V of the frame. This would not have been
possible before carbon. The goal was to determine the minimal number of
carbon fiber layers necessary to support the loads. This shortens the time
required for prototyping.
